Our custom designed menus are inspired by the seasonal bounty of Northern California and crafted by our industry leading culinary team.

We avoid the typical catering shortcuts, many of which result in mediocrity or the lack of vitality common in event food. Whether it’s a refined sit down dinner, a rustic family-style feast, or a giant product launch, we approach everything we do with a desire to make it the best.

Farm

The desire to provide a uniquely special experience drives much of what we do, and inspired the development of our own farm in Marin County. In addition to providing us with pristinely fresh produce and tomatoes still warm from the sun, our farm helps give our food a special sense of place – grounded in Northern California, regardless of varying global influences.

We’re also passionate about being a light in the community. We invest in our community regularly through pop-up benefit dinners held at our kitchen as well as our long term partnership with the Bay Area Rescue Mission.

Team

Our culinary team leads the industry in world-class experience at the best restaurants and enables our unique approach. We’ll never have a Componere chef oversee your tasting and then a freelancer run your event.

Professional, polished and warm hospitality characterizes our service team. They’re complemented by an expert production team with years of experience producing events from 70 to 7,000.

Componere is Latin for “to bring all the parts together” and we’ve brought together the best team in catering.

It's for the Bay Area Rescue Mission, which provides 1.5 million meals to the hungry each year in Richmond. They also have an excellent job training program to help people learn marketable skills. We know that it works - graduates from their program currently work in our dishwashing and warehousing departments.
